Captain Kichner brings over 28 years of Coast Guard experience in port & commercial vessel safety, environmental response and security, having served as Captain of the Port, Federal On Scene Coordinator, Officer In Charge Marine Inspection and Commanding Officer of the National Strike Force Gulf Strike Team and in Marine Safety Offices along the East and Gulf Coasts. He has extensive experience in engineering, safety, security, and environmental response. He provides risk analysis and assessment, emergency planning and response, and regulatory compliance to commercial marine transportation and support sectors as well as to the U.S. Government. He is very active supporting developers in the permitting of LNG and LHG Terminals and transportation on the Inland Rivers and along the Gulf, West and East Coasts including the use of LNG as a fuel in the marine industry. He has extensive experience and a long and successful track record of moving energy developers through the USCG an d FERC permitting process and negotiating with the local response community and agencies in moving projects through the FERC requirements. His experience extends to marine and technical operations of LNG and LHG carriers.
